I’m in Love
It can be said that it’s premature to say I’m in love at this early stage of a relationship. Maybe infatuated would be a better word you may think. I think it’s love and it’s strongly felt but I doubt it will be short lived.
Why am I so sure it’s love? Because I can see her many faults and yet have no need to change them in order to love her. I’m sure there are some faults I’m not aware of yet but I’m also sure that there are still some mysteries to be discovered that will make me love her even more.
I found not the one, but one of my loves. Yep, you heard that right, I do have more than one love and I’m open to having more. That doesn’t mean I love her less, and I can’t help but gush about it. So, sit back, grab a cuppa, and let me take you through this whirlwind romance.
The First Encounter
The first time we met was like something out of a movie. The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and there was an undeniable chemistry between us. I knew from that moment that this was something special, if nothing else because I could clearly see what I didn’t like in her and yet couldn’t help myself to feel this strong attraction and happy to be there. You know that feeling when you meet someone and everything just clicks? Well, that wasn’t the case with us. Everything clicked for me but not for her. Nope, she’s not convinced, I have to prove myself. I have to make her fall for me and I know I can only do that by being my true self. How could I not have fallen in love?
What do you want?
One of the things that drew me closer was our shared love for hiking. The thrill of conquering new trails, the serenity of being surrounded by nature; it’s like we were made for each other. But let’s not forget the food. Yes, from quality produce to culinary skills! From gourmet meals to simple, hearty fare, we both appreciate good food and she delivers. That’s a big deal for me.
I’m Portuguese
I’ve always been a sucker for good weather. You know, hot in the summer and cold in the winter? And guess what? She loves it too. We’ve spent countless hours basking in the glorious sunshine, and I couldn’t have asked for a better companion. Can’t wait for the snowy winter! Outside and indoors ;)

This is what sealed the deal for me, her natural beauty. No pretence, no facade, just pure, unadulterated beauty; beautiful without any make-up. With her stunning intricate details, she’s a sight to behold. It’s like she was crafted just for me, and I can’t get enough of her.

I’ve decided that I’m not getting married again, and she’s fine with it. So who is this mystery woman? Well, brace yourselves because this is where the plot thickens. I’m in love with a place. Yes, I’m head over heels in love with Bulgaria, particularly Bansko. There’s much more to Bulgaria than Bansko and I’ve been in many different places already, but Bansko won my heart.
Why Bansko?
Bansko is like that special nook in a bustling city, a hidden gem that only a few know about. It’s a small town in Bulgaria that offers everything I’ve been raving about; amazing hiking trails, mouth-watering food, perfect weather, and awe-inspiring natural beauty. It’s like the universe conspired to put all my favourite things in one place. Can’t wait to try skiing and snowboarding.
